Fans on social media quickly turn on the Packers after loss to New York Giants on 'Monday Night Football'
What a difference eight days make.
Apparently, many fans decided despite having the youngest team in the NFL and missing Aaron Jones, Christian Watson and Jaire Alexander, the Packers were just supposed to waltz into New Jersey and loudly proclaim to the NFC wild-card competitors who the boss was for the rest of the season.
But that's why they play the games.
After Green Bay's disappointing 24-22 loss to the New York Giants, on the social media site formerly known as Twitter, Packers and NFL fans were back in a what have they done for me lately mood.
And it wasn't just one Packer shouldering the blame for this one on social media. Never mind that they still have a 54% chance to make the playoffs.
Here's some samples of the equal opportunity hating. It's certainly a complete reverse of last week:
Tommy DeVito is probably the worst quarterback Green Bay will face this year not named Brett Rypien.
You just can’t bring a defensive coordinator back for another year after what DeVito did to Joe Barry’s defense. That would be malpractice— Dylan Buboltz (@DylanBuboltz) December 12, 2023

That’s a brutal mistake by Keisean Nixon.

I’ll never forgive Joe Barry for losing Jordan Love’s 2nd two minute comeback
