Is Fall River getting more colorful? Oh YEAH

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today is National Roller Coaster Day – and while the world might feel like an emotional roller coaster lately, it’s probably more to do with actual coasters. That brings to mind the Comet from Lincoln Park, of course – check out what happened to it here.

It's gotten quite a bit more colorful in Fall River, with vibrant murals adding life to various buildings, tunnels and more. Young artists with YEAH Corps are getting in on the action. On Wednessday, 15 teens gathered outside Fall River Superior Court to showcase their creativity with their latest project — jazzing up an electrical box on South Main and Borden with their unique designs. Check out their talent! 

Bad things also come in small packages. And if the historic Luther Store Museum could talk, it would tell you so. Ravaged in the COVID era by termites and powderpost beetles, the museum requires extensive floor and window repair. And, for bad measure, the rear addition is pulling away from the main building. And a gorgeous Tudor-style home in the Highlands was the area's top-selling single-family home for the week of July 25-29. The home, at the corner of Albany and Highland streets, was built in 1940, near the tail end of the peak era for the Tudor architectural style. Find out how much it went for, right here.
