The Atlanta Falcons have placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on defensive tackle Grady Jarrett.

The four-year veteran tallied 52 tackles with six sacks, 16 quarterback hits and three forced fumbles last season.

Jarrett can talk to other teams

The non-exclusive tag means that Jarrett will not become an unrestricted free agent on March 13, but he will be able to negotiate with other teams during free agency. If another team makes an offer the Falcons don’t wish to offer, Atlanta will receive two first-round picks as compensation.
