The Oklahoma State Cowgirls equestrian team announced its 2024 signing class on Friday and there's a familiar name on the list.

Harper Gottlieb of Costa Mesa, California — the daughter of former OSU men's basketball standout Doug Gottlieb — is among the Cowgirls' 11 signees.

Doug Gottlieb, who played 97 games for coach Eddie Sutton from 1997-2000, is the Cowboys' career assists leader with 793.

Harper has made a name for herself, winning the 1.25 Junior Jumper Grand Prix and the Low Junior Jumpers at the Las Vegas National. In team competitions, she helped win the 1.25 Zone Team Championship this year. She finished No. 1 in money won in Zone 10 last year, where she also landed No. 4 nationally. On top of domestic competitions, Gottlieb joins the Cowgirls with experience in international competition. She claimed the silver medal in the 2022 Maccabi Games in Israel.

“I am very excited about our signing class this year,” OSU coach Larry Sanchez said in a release. “We have a lot of talent in this group, and I look forward to what they will bring to our team, both in and out of the arena, next fall.”

The Cowgirls signed five riders on Jumping Seat and six in Western for the 2024 recruiting class.
