How every Houma-Thibodaux area high school baseball team fared in LHSAA Tournament

Five Houma-Thibodaux area high school baseball teams made this season's LHSAA tournaments, with four winning at least one playoff round, and two making it to state.

Here's how they all fared:

Assumption

The Mustangs claimed the 11th seed in the Division II non-select bracket, and opened the tournament with a sweep of No. 22 Albany, winning 5-3 in Game 1 and 5-0 in Game 2. However, Assumption's run came to an end in the second round with a three-game loss to No. 6 North Vermilion. The Mustangs dropped Game 1, 5-0, then won Game 2, 13-1, and fell in Game 3, 4-3.

Covenant Christian

CCA clinched the second seed in Division V select, opening with a first-round bye, and won its second-round game against 18-seed Catholic-Point Coupee, 5-3. The Lions then won their quarterfinal game against Sacred Heart to advance to Sulphur. The run at state was quickly over, however, as CCA was upset by 11-seed Glenbrook in the semifinals, 3-2.

The No. 3 Terriers received a first-round bye in Division II select, and began the tournament with a sweep of No. 14 Kenner Discovery, winning 11-1 in Game 1 and 8-5 in Game 2. VCHS then defended its home field against No. 6 rival E.D. White. However, Vandebilt's season came to an end short of the title game. The Terriers lost their semifinal game to eventual state champion No. 2 Teurlings Catholic, who walked off with a 3-2 victory
