ESPN sets projection for Sixers wins at 48.3 games in 2022-23 season

The Philadelphia 76ers figure to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. They are led by star duo Joel Embiid and James Harden as well as rising star Tyrese Maxey. Throw in a very talented supporting cast and the Sixers should be in the title mix.

As the 2022-23 campaign gets underway, they should have considerable success. They won 51 games in the 2021-22 season and were the No. 1 seed in the East for the 2020-21 playoffs. This season should be no different.

ESPN sets its projection for the Sixers at 48.3 wins:

Although Philadelphia’s win projection is down a bit from last year’s 51, the Sixers look slightly better relative to the rest of the East after finishing as the fourth seed. After adding stout defenders in De’Anthony Melton and P.J. Tucker, Philadelphia is one of five teams projected to finish in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating.

If the Sixers can finish in the top 10 in both offense and defense, they would be one of the elite teams in the league. The Sixers now have to build their chemistry in training camp so they can deliver on such promise.
