ESPN ‘College GameDay’ crew picks winner between No. 6 Oregon and USC

Going into the season, almost every Oregon fan had this weekend circled on their calendars as the most likely opportunity for ESPN’s “College GameDay” to come to Eugene. The Ducks face the USC Trojans.

In the preseason, this was a top-15 matchup projected to have major Pac-12 championship and College Football Playoff ramifications.

That’s not how events have played out, though. The Trojans have struggled. USC is coming off of back-to-back losses, dropping three of their last four games. In contrast, the Ducks have flourished. They are ranked No. 6 in the nation.

So GameDay set up shop in Athens for Georgia-Ole Miss. That didn’t stop the crew from picking the Oregon-USC game on Saturday morning, though.
