Erie appreciates NFL and professional football talent, especially if it's from the northwestern Pennsylvania region.
With that in mind, Erie Times-News reporter Mike Copper set out to catalogue current and former players, coaches and personnel with northwestern Pa. ties who have contributed to the NFL's history. The research was done based on data available at pro-football-reference.com and the Times-News archives.
The list was so extensive, we divided it into a series of stories, running alphabetically from Eddie Abramoski to Al Washington.
