New England Patriots at New York Giants: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 12 game

The New York Giants (3-8) seek to continue momentum from their biggest win of the season in a matchup against the lowly New England Patriots (2-8).

The Giants beat NFC East foe the Washington Commanders 31-19 last week behind three touchdowns from third-string rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito. Saquon Barkley had his fourth-best game of the season with 83 yards on the ground.

The Patriots are coming off a much-needed bye after a three-game losing streak that has fans, and Bill Belichick, losing hope in quarterback Mac Jones. Bailey Zappe and Will Grier participated in practice.

Will the Giants have enough oomph to get consecutive wins for the first time this season? Or will the Patriots have enough rest to take the road victory?

Lorenzo Reyes: Patriots 16, Giants 10

This is another tough one because of the uncertainty at quarterback for the Patriots. While the Giants played well against the Commanders, it’s tough to see this team winning a couple in a row. New England has covered one of its last seven. The Patriots are coming off their bye so I will tentatively give them the edge here.

Tyler Dragon: Patriots 17, Giants 16

Tommy DeVito registered his first win as a starter in a surprising win over the Commanders last week. Two of New York’s three wins came against the Commanders. The Patriots are a bad football team, but Belichick and company are coming off a bye. Belichick teams usually perform well coming off a bye week.

Safid Deen: Patriots 20, Giants 14

This is an early battle for the No.1 pick in the draft. Whichever team wins will be furthest away from it. But don’t expect these teams to be playing with that in mind. The Patriots surprise us with some offense after their bye and beat the Giants.

Victoria Hernandez: Giants 20, Patriots 10

The Patriots have a major question at quarterback while the Giants are just working with what they have. New York made a statement last week when Tommy DeVito threw three touchdowns and Saquon Barkley had 83 yards. Sometimes when you don't have any options, that's when you thrive.

Jordan Mendoza: Giants 13, Patriots 10

The fight for a top-three pick won’t be pretty, as these two teams are the two-worst scoring offenses in the league. By averaging a combined 27.6 points a game, this would be safe to bet the under. The Giants are coming off an inspiring win in Washington, so they get the best of New England.
