Elliot Cadeau feels like he can play at the college level already

Five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau made the decision to reclassify from 2024 to the 2023 class on Tuesday as he’s set to enroll at North Carolina in June. The addition of Cadeau gives the Tar Heels a third member of the 2023 class as he joins Simeon Wilcher and Zayden High.

After an impressive junior season that carried over to the AAU cycle, Cadeau is ready for that next step in his game. And he noted that in a recent interview with Dushawn London of 247Sports after he made his decision:

“I just thought I was ready and that there’s no need for me to play another year of high school,” Cadeau said. “I think I’ll benefit North Carolina and myself more if I go to college this year. I feel like I can play at that level now.”

Looking at Cadeau’s game, you can see that he was playing at a very elite level. He did so against the top talent in the 2024 class as well.

With Cadeau joining the 2023 class, it gives UNC another legit option at the point guard spot to play along with Seth Trimble and R.J. Davis.
