Several El Pasoans are faring well at the college or professional level. Here is a look at how some of them are performing.

  • Franklin graduate and University of Texas runner Eva Jess was the 2023 Texas Invitational 5k champion with her time of 17 minutes, 18.36.

  • Eastwood graduate Mercedes Camacho has started 30 games for the 22-win McMurry University softball team, scored 16 runs and has driven in seven runs.

  • Montwood graduate Lauren Garcia is hitting .286 with 25 RBI for the University of New Mexico softball team.

  • Chapin graduate Kristin Fifield has 18 homers and 69 RBI for the Grand Canyon University softball team.

  • Americas graduate Adlai Alvidrez has started 38 games for Western New Mexico softball and has 27 hits.

  • Coronado graduate Mauricio Millan has a homer, 21 RBI and is hitting .318 for the Wichita State University baseball team.

  • Eastlake graduate Kasey Flores has 19 homers and 61 RBI for the Lubbock Christian University softball team.

  • Franklin graduate Jimmy DeLeon is hitting .350 with six homers and 33 RBI for the Incarnate Word University baseball team.

  • Socorro graduate Brandon Pimentel is hitting .380 with 13 homers and 50 RBI for the UT-Rio Grande University baseball team.

  • Americas graduate Adrian Torres is hitting .310 with 24 runs scored for the UT-Rio Grande University baseball team.

  • Americas graduate Darell Hernaiz is batting .313 with two homers and 11 RBI for the Double-A Midland Rockhounds in the Oakland Athletics organization.

  • Ysleta graduate Justin Maese is 2-0 with 13 strikeouts for Double-A Somerset in the New York Yankees organization.

  • Franklin graduate Allyson Little won the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Texas Invitational in a time of 10:47.58 for the University of Texas.

  • Montwood graduate Zoey DeBaca has 13 homers and is hitting .491 for the Midland College softball team.

  • Riverside graduate Lauren De La Cruz has 27 home runs for the Midland College softball team.

  • Clint graduate EJ Miramontes is 6-0 with a 2.98 earned run average for the New Mexico Junior College baseball team.

  • Eastlake graduate Robert Bonilla has four wins and 36 strikeouts on the mound for the New Mexico Junior College baseball team.
