Eight high school standouts nominated, voting continues through midnight on Sunday
Don't shut off the computer or put down the cell phone. It's time to vote again in the Public Opinion's Athlete of the Week Poll for Jan. 15-21.
There's a a group of eight area nominees to vote on this week.
Congrats goes to Florence-Henry eighth-grader Ashlynn Vavruska, a girls basketball player who topped the Athlete of the Week poll for Jan. 8-14.
Here are this week's candidates (voting ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday):

Dec. 11-16: Brody Randall, Hamlin-Castlewood wrestler
Dec. 18-24: Liza Krueger, Groton Area girls wrestler
Dec. 25-31: Summer Guthmiller, Sioux Valley girls wrestler.
Jan. 2-7: Rayden Zens, Aberdeen Central wrestler.
Jan. 8-14: Ashlynn Vavruska, Florence-Henry girls basketball.
