E.J. Liddell responds on Twitter to ‘disrespectful’ tweet

We were all on the edge of our seat waiting for E.J. Liddell to decide whether he was staying in the NBA draft or returning to Ohio State for another year. When he announced that he’d be back in a scarlet and gray uniform, all of Buckeye nation rejoiced.

But he’s not the only high-profile player that decided to withdraw his name from the draft and come back to enjoy the college experience. However, he does appear to be the only one showing motivation for being overlooked over others that went through the same process.

FOX College Hoops tweeted out a graphic about big names coming back to play another year and decided to leave Liddell off the list. Not one to make too many waves, Liddell simply acknowledged the slight and responded with “We starting the disrespect early I see. Going to feel me this year.”

To be fair, all of these players are talented kids that would likely feel the same way if they weren’t mentioned, but who are we to stop a guy from finding motivation any way he can.

In fact, we hope this drives Liddell to become the Big Ten Player of the Year this season and take the Ohio State team along for a joyride through the postseason.
