Dover boys stars headline upcoming Blue-Gold All-Star high school basketball games

Dorell Little and Denim Perkins still have one more high school basketball game to play.

The superb Dover duo, who combined for 47 points in the Senators’ 56-53 win over Salesianum in the DIAA Boys Basketball Tournament championship game last weekend, will play for the Gold boys team in the annual Blue-Gold All-Star basketball games on Saturday at Smyrna High.

Little and Perkins are among 61 of the state’s top senior boys and girls high school basketball players who will participate. The girls game will tip off at noon, with the boys game set to follow around 2.

Robert Price of A.I. du Pont will coach the Blue girls team, which will include Jourdyn Henderson, Ny’Aijah Jackson and Sydney Hilliard of A.I.; Deja Martin and Kyla Reed of Appoquinimink; Chamira Marshall-Brothers of Ursuline, Claire Watson of Tatnall, Danielle Kanse of Charter of Wilmington, Delaney Burroughs of Odessa, Ericka Huggins of St. Elizabeth, Grace Trerotola of Padua, Lauren McDonald of Saint Mark’s, Lucy Oliver of Archmere, Thailys Torres of Hodgson and Tyler Edwards of Sanford.

Isaiah Robinson of Woodbridge will coach the Gold girls team, which will include Anaya Price and Jasiyah Crawford of Caravel; Ashtyn Torbert, Malya Milstead and Mila Milstead of Dover; Lulu Rishko and Mya Maull of Cape Henlopen; Reghan Robinson and Tianna Neal of Woodbridge; Skylar Curley and Talaney Pierce of Smyrna; Journey Handy of Delmarva Christian, Kirja Hickman of Lake Forest, Maleyah Bell of Sussex Tech, Mia Peacock of Early College and Sky Naranjo of Polytech.

Mike Cassidy of St. Elizabeth will coach the Blue boys team, which will include Isaiah Hynson, Justin Hinds and Kareem Thomas of Salesianum; Aiden Tobiason and Julius Wright of St. Elizabeth; Emmanuel Vonhm and Jaylin Horsey of William Penn; Blair Thomas of St. Georges, Carlton Smith of MOT Charter, Gabe Swift of Delaware Military Academy, Jayden Lawrence of Mount Pleasant, Jordan Earl of Odessa, Jordan Spencer of Sanford, Miles Kempski of Archmere and Rahsaan Matthews Jr. of Howard.

Ridge Betts of Lake Forest will coach the Gold boys team, which will include Little, Perkins and Noah Allen of Dover; Adam Bailey and Isaiah Alston of Caesar Rodney; Jack Schell and Kameron Trammell of Cape Henlopen; Aviyon Matthews and Clyde Frasier of Middletown; Cam’Ron Purnell and Clarence McBride-Allen of Sussex Central; Isaiah Ayers of Sussex Tech, Jackson Starkey of Lake Forest, Kashmier Wise of Seaford and Obinna Coleman of Smyrna.

The games will benefit the Delaware Safety Council and the Delaware Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (DIBCA) scholarship fund.

A traffic safety fan zone experience will be located in the parking lot outside the Smyrna gym, with exhibits and simulators focused on teen driver safety.
