Donte DiVincenzo breaks Knicks record for three-pointers made in a single season

Donte DiVincenzo can now be called the most prolific three-point shooter in Knicks history after breaking a franchise record for most threes made in a single season.

The first-year Knicks guard entered Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs just three three-pointers away from surpassing Evan Fournier's record of 241. The Villanova product would do so in the second quarter of Friday's game.

It's been a career year for DiVincenzo who signed with the Knicks this offseason after spending his first five seasons with the Bucks, Kings and Warriors. DiVincenzo has already set a career-high for three-pointers made -- previous high was 150 during the 2022-23 season -- while being incredibly efficient. Entering Friday, DiVincenzo was making threes at a 44 percent clip, which is close to his career-high of 45 percent during the 2019-20 season. However, he's attempting five more threes per game this season than in that year.

He also already broke another Knicks record this year.

During the Knicks' win over the Pistons on March 25, DiVincenzo set a team record for threes made in a single game with 11.

Friday's accomplishment is just another feather in the cap of DiVincenzo, who is proving to be an important addition to this Knicks team as they prepare for what they hope is a deep run in this year's playoffs.
