Dominick Puni, Austin Booker to represent Kansas football at this year’s NFL combine

LAWRENCE — Kansas football will have multiple players represent the program at this year’s NFL combine, which is being held in Indianapolis in late February and early March.

Austin Booker, a redshirt sophomore defensive lineman this past season, is one of those talents. Dominick Puni, a redshirt senior offensive lineman this past season, is the other. And their inclusions continue to prove the reality that both will likely hear their names called early during this year’s NFL draft.

Booker spent one year with the program, after transferring in from Minnesota, but didn’t waste time making his presence felt amid a breakout season. He led Kansas in tackles for loss and sacks and was an All-Big 12 Conference caliber talent.

Puni spent a couple of seasons with the program, after transferring in from Central Missouri, and became a regular starter at Kansas. He was a left guard his first season in 2022, and a left tackle his second season in 2023. His versatility, which includes the potential he could play center at the next level, makes him an intriguing prospect.

Kansas football quarterback Jalon Daniels (6) celebrates with offensive lineman Dominick Puni (67) after a touchdown on Sept. 8, 2023 during a game against Illinois at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
