Dolphins' Tyreek Hill files for divorce ... but says he's ‘happily married'

Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill filed for a divorce from Keeta Vaccaro, whom he married two months ago.

Or did he?

Shortly after news of the filing began to hit the media, Hill went on social media to say it didn't happen.

"Boy no the heck we didn’t (file for divorce) so don’t put that in the air !!!" he wrote. "We are happily married and gone stay that way."

The paperwork, though, says Hill filed for divorce in Broward County on Monday.

The couple was married Nov. 8, during the Dolphins’ bye week. As recently as Jan. 13, when the Dolphins played the Kansas City Chiefs in a wild-card game, Hill handed Vaccaro the football after he scored Miami’s only touchdown.

The family home in Southwest Ranches sustained damages in a fire Jan. 3 that the fire marshal said was started by a child playing with a lighter. It forced the family to temporarily find another place to live.

Shortly after getting married, Hill told reporters covering the Dolphins how glad he was to have settled down.

“It was about time, man,” he said. “It’s something that we wanted to do over the bye week and we did it. We went through with it. I finally went through with it.”

Asked how it felt to be married, Hill said, “It feels good, man. I feel like everything that’s been happening to me, it’s been for good reason. I’ve been locked in at a different rate, disciplined with just my whole entire life, the way I just approach everything and I definitely — I eliminated a bunch of things so that’s probably why I’m having some of the success that I’m having this year.”
