Dodgers' Hill exits after 2 pitches vs. Nats

Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Rich Hill exited his start against the Washington Nationals on Saturday after two pitches with an apparent recurrence of a blister issue.

Hill got ahead of Nationals leadoff man Trea Turner 0-2 before showing discomfort on the release of his second pitch. Manager Dave Roberts and a trainer came out to check on the 38-year-old, who has served two separate stints on the disabled list this season with finger-related issues.

Hill then left the outing and was replaced by Scott Alexander, who struck out the side in the inning.

Hill has battled blister issues in recent year. The southpaw was 1-2 with a 6.20 ERA in six starts entering Saturday.

The contest was the second of a day-night doubleheader between the two teams. The Dodgers won the first game, 4-1.
