District 3 playoffs: Palmyra field hockey back in the championship game, again
After one week of play, there's one Lebanon County team still in the running for a district title.
Palmyra field hockey once again punched its ticket for the title game, with a 2-0 win over Manheim Central in Wednesday's semifinal.
Here's how districts unfolded for Lebanon County teams:

Class 3A
Monday, Oct. 23
Lampeter-Strasburg 2, Palmyra 1
Elco 1, Manheim Central 1, Elco wins 3-1 on penalty kicks: Jaydon Noll scored the lone regulation goal for the Raiders.
Thursday, Oct. 26
Conrad Weiser 1, Elco 0: The Raiders season ends with a 17-2-1 record.
Girls’ soccer
Class 2A
Saturday, Oct. 28
Hamburg 1, Elco 1, Hamburg wins, 4-3 on penalty kicks: The Raiders season ends with a 11-7-1 record.

Warwick 7, Cedar Crest 1: The Falcons couldn't get the offense going against the No. 3 seed Warriors. Danielle Schroll scored the lone goal. Karys Craver recorded a hat trick for Warwick.

Palmyra 5, Garden Spot 0: The top-seeded Cougars advance to face No. 8 Hershey at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Palmyra 2, Manheim Central 0: Palmyra field hockey finds itself in a familiar situation: playing for a district title. The No 1 Cougars defeated No. 5 Manheim Central, 2-0, Wednesday to punch their ticket to the District 3 Class 2A championship game. Palmyra (17-1-1) will face No. 3 Northern York at 1 p.m. Saturday at Landis Field. Neither team could get into an offensive rhythm Wednesday and the score was 0-0 into the fourth quarter. Palmyra scored its first goal when Keely Bowers converted a penalty stroke. Mallory Hudson followed up with another goal to ice the Barons. The Cougars have won 14 district titles in the program's history.

Class A
Wednesday, Oct. 25
Annville-Cleona 8, Lancaster Country Day 0: The Dutchmen scored three goals in the first quarter and rolled from there to pull the upset. Tori Cisney and Kendall Cooper each scored two goals in the victory, while Savannah Kleinfelter saved 10 shots to preserve the victory.
Elco 3, Berks Catholic 0: The No. 3 Raiders picked up shutout victory to open the tournament.
Saturday, Oct. 28
Boiling Springs 2, Elco 0: The Raiders drop into the consolation bracket, where they can still earn a state berth (top seven teams qualify). They travel to West Perry on a date to be determined.
Bishop McDevitt 6, Annville-Cleona 2: The Dutchmen will face Newport at 4:30 p.m. at Susquenita H.S. on a date to be determined in the opening round of consolation play.
Wednesday, Nov. 1
West Perry 3, Elco 0: The Raiders will host A-C in the seventh-place game to determine who gets the final spot in the state tournament. The teams meet at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Newport 3, Annville-Cleona 2
