Didn't sign up for Savannah Bananas tickets in Philly? Here's your chance to go

Baseball fans can win a chance to see the hugely popular and always entertaining Savannah Bananas and support youth baseball in Bucks County at the same.

The ticket raffle is for four seats to the Saturday, Sept. 21 game against fellow independent baseball team, the Savannah Party Animals at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The raffle will support the 12-and-under team of Elite Baseball, a youth baseball organization in Feasterville.

Organizers shared the raffle in a post in the Feasterville resident's group on Facebook.

"Elite baseball is raffling off four tickets to see the Savannah Bananas at Citizen Bank Park. The fundraiser helps to send out 12U team to Cooperstown for their last year of Little League," read the post. "Thanks for supporting our kids."

A single raffle entry is $10, and three entries are $20; raffle tickets can be purchased through Venmo.

Their pitcher, Dakota "stilts" Albritton, stands 10 feet tall.

Their owner, Jesse Cole, wears a bright-yellow tuxedo, akin to Theodore Shackleford's getup in the "Curious George" cartoons.

And to top it all off, the quirky Savannah Bananas baseball team doesn't allow walks, and if a fan catches a foul ball in the stands, it counts as an out.

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition baseball team based in their nemesake southern city. Think of them like the Harlem Globetrotters, but for baseball. Their home games are played in Savannah, but they also travel the country, entertaining fans in their "world tour."

The team plays their own version of the game called "Banana Ball," which aims to speed the game up and make it more exciting.

How to catch the Savannah Bananas at Citizens Bank Park this summer

The Savannah Banana ticket lottery list closed in December for their visit to Philadelphia. Savannah Bananas fans can join the 2024 wait list to be entered if additional tickets become available.

Joining the wait list lottery list doesn’t guarantee the opportunity to buy tickets, as a random drawing will take place in late spring.

Ticketmaster has tickets available to the Savannah Bananas-Savannah Party Animals game, but the ask is high. The least expensive resale ticket offered by Ticketmaster is $247.
