The hottest trend for the fall season in Phoenix?

Could be a Corbin Carroll jersey.

Since the postseason run for the Arizona Diamondbacks began this month, the team store has met a large demand for Carroll’s jersey.

"Corbin Carroll is the most-requested jersey, but we are also seeing requests for (Alek) Thomas, (Gabriel) Moreno, (Zac) Gallen and (Lourdes) Gurriel Jr.," said Kenny Farrell, rhe Diamondbacks' senior vice president of Marketing & Business Analytics. "We have doubled our jersey inventory of the home white and home black jersey for the postseason. We also have an assortment of player jersey-tees including Carroll, Thomas, Gallen, Moreno, (Christian) Walker, (Merrill) Kelly and (Ketel) Marte."

The numbers haven’t been lying. Within the last week, searches for Carroll’s jersey have gone up by 300%. For the younger fans coming to games, Carroll's home white and teal jersey has been the most popular. In that span, Carroll has gone 7-for-14 (.500) with two home runs over four games.

The team’s spectacular start to the postseason has meant better sales all around. The Diamondbacks' four wins so far in a single postseason is the second-most in franchise history, only behind the 2001 team that won the World Series.

The Diamondbacks have won all those games on the road, but the team store has remained open throughout the postseason.

"Once the D-Backs won the NL Wild Card Series, the interest peaked amongst fans knowing we would host at least one home game in the postseason at Chase Field, which has not happened since 2017," Farrell said. "Traffic on the off days has increased with fans venturing down to the ballpark to grab any postseason items they can get their hands on."

For those worried if Carroll's jersey will be sold out or if the store's lines will take time away from the game, the staff has prepared for high demands with two additional merchandise locations in the ballpark.

"We made sure that all the items were in stock and available for fans," Farrell said. "Whether it’s the on-field headwear, apparel, or postseason/National League Division Series (NLDS) match-up souvenirs, we have something for every fan at every price point. We’ve focused on reorganizing the merchandise and racks inside the store to maximize space for fans to shop and browse postseason gear.
