When the Devils have a big game, what's the first thing they need?

A new jersey, of course.

So when the Devils meet the Philadelphia Flyers at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, they'll be wearing brand-new threads.

Devils Stadium Series jersey

The Devils jerseys are black and red and have the old-school Devils logo. It also includes oversized numbers on the shoulders of the jerseys.

2024 NHL Stadium Series two-day event

The Devils-Flyers game is the first half of a two-day doubleheader, with the Rangers and Islanders colliding on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Flyers play the Devils on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Both games will air on ABC. They'll also stream on ESPN+.

Can you tailgate at MetLife?

If you plan on going to the game, good news, you're welcome to come early and hang out with other hockey fans. Tailgating isn't just allowed, it's encouraged, according to NHL chief content officer Steve Mayer.

"The parking lots open early and as far as tailgating ... go for it," Mayer said on nhl.com. "This is Jersey. Whether you're going to a Giants or Jets football game, or seeing Bruce Springsteen, you're always out here early, you're out here all day. This is an experience, it's just not a hockey game. And if you just come for a hockey game, you lose out. We want people to get here and enjoy the fan experience."

The Flyers-Devils game will include a pregame concert with the Jonas Brothers. They'll also perform during the second intermission.

New Jersey weather

While everyone would love a little snow for the event, it seems like that won't happen. The forecast calls for temperatures to be around 30 degrees with mostly clear skies.
