It's not as rare as a solar eclipse, but the Detroit Pistons are going for two wins in a row on Friday night.

Once again, they are playing a fellow Central Division foe, the Cleveland Cavaliers, second in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons surprised Chicago on Tuesday, 105-95, as the Bulls shot an unthinkable 2-for-29 from 3-point range.

The Pistons have played the Cavs tough this season, losing all three games by fewer than 10 points. Donovan Mitchell tore the Pistons up for 45 points in the most recent matchup Jan. 31 in Cleveland, a 128-121 Cavs victory. Mitchell, an All-Star this season, is averaging 28 points per game for the second straight year, but he's out tonight with knee soreness. Fifth-year guard Darius Garland will take on a bigger offensive role, and averages 18.1 points and 6.2 assists this season.

THE LINEUP: Pistons sacrifice offense to prioritize 'core five' by starting Isaiah Stewart

Up next for the Pistons is a visit to Orlando on Sunday.
