Denzel Ward believes hit from Ravens’ Ronnie Stanley was a cheap shot

Denzel Ward was knocked out of Sunday’s win over the Ravens early on after a hit from Baltimore’s left tackle Ronnie Stanley. Many fans were concerned he might have a concussion but luckily Ward was able to walk away with a minor neck injury.

The hit from Stanley was a dirty shot that was completely unnecessary and could’ve caused a serious injury. On Wednesday, Ward was asked if he felt it was a cheap shot and he seemed to agree with that sentiment. He also went on to kind of laugh it off and say it’s just part of the game and it’s all good.

These are the type of hits that the NFL is trying to get rid of and the fact that there wasn’t a penalty thrown on the play is a bit puzzling. But luckily Ward is ok as the team could use him going forward and this talented defense.
