DeMar DeRozan, Bulls eager to reset over All-Star break

The Chicago Bulls have endured a long, grueling season thus far, and it’s been full of ups and downs. They began the year 5-14, and it seemed as though their season was over before it even began. But since then, they’ve clawed their way back, and now they are firmly in the race for a playoff spot.

Throughout the course of an 82-game season, players inevitably get tired. And for the Bulls, that’s no different. In fact, they could be dealing with it more than other items, as they’ve fought through injuries and a myriad of other distractions, namely the trade deadline.

“The last two months has been kind of crazy for us with the injuries, dealing with all the noise on the outside with the trade rumors,” DeRozan said. “Emotionally, physically, mentally we took on a tall task the last 60 days and we pushed through it. Now we can kind of breathe a little bit, gather our minds and emotions and get Pat [Williams] back, hopefully, and get some bodies back and kind of get rejuvenated for the next [27] games.”

As the Bulls prepare themselves for the second half of the season, they’ll get to enjoy some well-deserved rest.
