Delle Donne to miss WNBA All-Star Game

Chicago Sky rookie Elena Delle Donne will not play in the WNBA All-Star game on Saturday because of a concussion.

Delle Donne, the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, was the top vote-getter for the all-star game, becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to receive that honor.

She was injured Wednesday in the Sky's 82-78 loss to the Washington Mystics while going for a loose ball in the third quarter.

Delle Donne, the WNBA's third leading scorer this season at 18.2 points per game, will be replaced on the Eastern Conference roster by Atlanta's Erika de Souza.

Brittney Griner, the top pick in the 2013 draft, also will miss the game because of a sprained left knee.
