Decker, Hoffmaster lead TR softball to Cadillac tournament title

CADILLAC — Three Rivers won a pair of games in Cadillac on Saturday, taking first place in the tournament. The Lady Wildcats beat both Kingsley (5-0) and Cadillac (15-0).

Jennaya Decker was on fire in the circle for the Lady Cats, striking out 13 in the opening game against Kingsley. She also blasted a home run and drove in two runs for the Cats.

Three Rivers track team qualifies six to state finals

London Hoffmaster had two hits and drove in one. Emily Ventrone, Dani Glass and Kendall Penny each registered a hit in the game, as well.

Three Rivers won the second game in four innings against Cadillac. Hoffmaster recorded two home runs in the contest and drove in four total runs for Three Rivers. Decker hit another home run and collected three total RBIs.

Peyton Ware picked up the win. She struck out five in four innings of work.

Ware also had two hits. Ashton Ware and Allie McGlothlen both registered a hit in the game as well.

Bronson wins Polish Classic

The Bronson softball team won both of its games on Saturday.

The Vikings were the host of the Polish Classic, they finished 2-0 with wins over Colon (8-3) and Marshall (15-1).

"It was a good day today. We stared off a little slow but we were able to pick it up the second game," Bronson coach Becky Gray said. "We beat a good Marshall team and hit the ball well. I feel like we are making good progress right now and moving in the right direction heading into districts."

Mya Webb struck out four hitters in the game against Colon.

Ashlynn Harris logged three hits, including a pair of triples, and drove in two. Ciara Blankenship recorded five stolen bases in the game and collected a pair of singles while Braelynn Gimenez had two singles and one run driven in. Webb, Brealyn Lasky and Kailynne Scare each had a single.

Bronson got seven strikeouts from Harris in the win over Marshall. At the plate, she had three hits.

Lasky drove in four runs with three base hits, Roni Bir connected for a pair of singles as well. Blasting a homer was Lydia Wells.

Blankenship, Gimenez, Webb, Scare and Delanee Carpenter each had a base hit for the Vikes.

Last Thursday, they won a pair of games over Clinton 6-2 and 5-3.

Harris and Webb each won a game inside the circle. In the first game, Harris had two hits while Gimenez and Bir both drove in one with a hit.

Lasky had three hits in the second game, she drove in three. Harris had two hits as well.
