Dawgs on Trop: Creature Comforts announces it is now the official beer of UGA Athletics

Two Athens powerhouses have partnered up just in time for the 2023 Georgia Bulldogs football season.

Creature Comforts Brewing Co., a popular Athens brewery, announced Friday that it is now the official beer of UGA Athletics.

The announcement video posted to social media shows people in red and black Creature Comforts T-shirts at UGA's Sanford Stadium with the video board saying that the beer company is the "Official Beer of Georgia Athletics."

While beer is not sold for the general public at UGA football games, alcohol is permitted in suites and boxes. Creature Comforts beers have been for sale at other UGA Athletics events, such as baseball and basketball.

Its popular IPA Tropicalia has been featured in big-picture entertainment, including a cameo in "Avengers: Endgame."
