Damian Lillard trade grades: Did Suns, Bucks or Blazers win trade involving Deandre Ayton?

NBA trade grades are out for the blockbuster deal centered around Damian Lillard involving the Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns

Lillard is going to Milwaukee, while the Suns are sending Deandre Ayton and Toumani Camara to Portland.

Phoenix is receiving Jusuf Nurkic, Nassir Little, Keon Johnson and Grayson Allen in the deal.

So who won the trade?

While it may be too early to tell, that hasn't stopped some sites from dishing out early grades for the deal for all three teams.

Deandre Ayton trade reaction: Suns include star in Damian Lillard deal with Bucks, Blazers

For the Win gave the Bucks an A+ for the move, the Suns a B+ and the Blazers an A.

Robert Zeglinski wrote of Phoenix's grade: "The moment the Suns traded for Bradley Beal, it was apparent that Ayton probably wouldn’t stick around. Phoenix hasn’t been the biggest fan of Ayton’s recent play and approach. This was probably the best way to serve and approach their break-up. Nurkic is a much better fit for the Suns’ offense as a low-post player for Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker. And Ayton fits well with a rebuilding Portland. Everyone wins. Everyone should be happy."

Draft Kings gave the Bucks an A for the deal. It gave the Trail Blazers and Suns each a B+.

Chinmay Vaidya wrote of Phoenix's deal: "Adding Allen and Little to help fill out the bench is a nice get for the Suns, who were clearly on the wrong side of Ayton despite signing him to a big deal. Nurkic is going to be a sore spot for Phoenix in the postseason but it’s not going to matter if Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker click. The Suns got some viable depth pieces, but likely could’ve gotten some draft picks out of this deal if they pushed for it."

Fansided handed the Bucks an A-, the Suns a B and the Blazers a B+.

Ian Levy wrote: "For the Suns, the thinking here is addition by subtraction. Ayton is younger than Nurkic and has been healthier. He's better at both ends of the floor and has far more upside. It's also clear that he didn't really want to be with the Suns anymore and often played like it. Nurkic gives them another defensive-minded big man. Allen is some additional shooting on the wing which, frankly, is the least of the Suns problems at this point. Nassir Little is actually a nice get, a young wing with some defensive upside who can handle 3s and 4s. Johnson probably doesn't play much. In the end, the Suns come out negative in the talent side of the ledger but get depth and some players who they can probably count on to give maximium effort and engagement. In a vacuum, it's hard to imagine this is the best deal they could have gotten for Ayton, but it's a reasonable swing."
