Damian Lillard listed as Brooklyn Nets’ dream offseason trade target

Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard is listed as the dream offseason trade target for the Brooklyn Nets, according to a recent article by Bleacher Report. This comes as no surprise to Nets fans as Lillard has been rumored to be on Brooklyn’s radar ever since he showed up for Game 3 of the Nets’ first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Lillard has not indicated that he wants out of Portland at this time, but he has publicly said that he is not in favor of a rebuild. Lillard, 32, has been one of the better players in the NBA for some time now, but has only been to the Western Conference Finals just once in his 11-year career.

Lillard led Portland to a 33-49 record in 2022-23, but he played just 58 games as he missed time with various injuries and missed the final 10 games of the season because of Portland falling out of the race to make the play-in tournament. If Portland decides to go through a rebuild, Lillard could be on the market for a team like the Nets to go after him. Here’s a snippet of what B/R had to say:
