FIRST TEAM

Eily Badertscher, Wooster, sr.

Few local players have been more efficient scoring the basketball than Badertscher the past few years. Her ability to stretch the floor as a 6-footer helped give Wooster one of the top offenses in the area. ... Div. I honorable mention All-Ohio

Alyssa Geiser, Waynedale, jr.

Waynedale kept its recent run of success going, and Geiser was a huge reason why. Her ability to shoot from deep drew a ton of defensive attention, but knack for the little things like rebounding from her guard spot and coming up with loose balls helped the Bears come out on top in some close games. ... Every time Henegar played, she put the pedal to the floor, creating havoc on both ends. She played some her best games during Chippewa's playoff run, including a 16-point first half in a regional semifinal win over Warrensville Heights and a 15-point, 11-board, seven-assist performance in the state semifinals. ... Naomi Keib, Smithville, jr.

Nobody in the area was a more dominant presence in the paint than Keib, who overpowered opponents all season while leading Smithville to its best season in years. Ava Maibach, Norwayne, fr.

Plenty of freshman make an impact right away in high school girls basketball, but Maibach was a star right away. She helped Norwayne to 16 wins while averaging 13.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.4 steals.

West Holmes prided itself on toughness, and McMillen exemplified that attitude. McMillen took a step forward as a scorer as a senior and always did whatever it took for the Knights to win, leading them to a third straight OCC title. ... Div. Addesa Miller, Waynedale, jr.

Miller fit in at Waynedale immediately, pairing with Geiser to form the most versatile offensive backcourt in the area. Her shooting and playmaking helped Waynedale to a third straight WCAL title share and 21 wins. ... Div. III special mention All-Ohio

Bel Rodriguez, Chippewa, sr.

After missing a month of the regular season due to injury, Rodriguez returned to the lineup and played the best basketball of her career, leading the Chipps to their second state runner-up finish in program history. Rodriguez's ability to play almost any position on the floor and create offense for herself and others was a catalyst to the Chipps' success. ... Div. III third-team All-Ohio

Madi Singer, Smithville, soph.

Made a major leap as a sophomore, helping Smithville go from middle-of-the-pack in the WCAL to a 23-3 league champion. Singer was a pure point guard who made her teammates better and showed a rare competitive fire when she played. ... Div. III honorable mention All-Ohio

Caitlin Titler, Triway, jr.

Another skilled guard with range, Titler combined scoring skills with getting her teammates involved while leading Triway to its highest win total since 2018. ... Div. III special mention All-Ohio

Every opponent knew they needed to stop Vermilya in order to stop Loudonville, and very few succeeded. That included a 59-point game in a win over co-OCC champ Mansfield Senior and season-long averages of 29.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, 6.5 steals and 3.1 assists in one of the most impressive statistical seasons in area history. ...
