Current odds to win Super Bowl: Detroit Lions would be underdogs vs. Ravens or Chiefs

What are the current Super Bowl odds? What about the Super Bowl matchup odds looking ahead? We have you covered. The Detroit Lions find themselves in the final four teams remaining in the NFL playoffs for the first time in 32 years but are the biggest longshot to win the Super Bowl, according to sportsbooks.

The Lions secured their first trip to the NFC championship game since 1992 after taking down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23, and the reward was a date with the 49ers on the road for a chance to play in their first-ever Super Bowl.

The Lions opened as 6½-point underdogs in the NFC title game after being favored to win each of their first two playoff games. The Lions were 3-point favorites over the Rams, and failed to cover the spread with a 24-23 win, but covered the 6-point spread against the Buccaneers the next week.

In the AFC, the home Baltimore Ravens are a 3½-point favorite over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Let's look at the current Super Bowl 58 odds and the odds for the potential matchups Feb. 11 in Las Vegas:

The Lions have the longest odds of any of the four teams remaining to win Super Bowl 58 at +700, meaning a winning bet of $100 would pay out a profit of $700.

The San Francisco 49ers, the Lions' NFC championship opponent, have the best odds, at +145, followed by the Baltimore Ravens at +200, then the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs at +350, according to BetMGM.

Super Bowl matchup odds

If the Lions were to upset the 49ers, the sportsbooks are already predicting they would be underdogs in their first Super Bowl to either the Ravens or Chiefs — the Lions played both on the road during the regular season.

According to Circa Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook's lookahead lines posted Monday, the Lions would be underdogs to both AFC teams remaining, but with better odds than what they have against the 49ers.

  • Lions are 4½-point underdog to the Ravens.

  • Lions are a 3-point underdog to the Chiefs.

  • 49ers are 1½-point favorite over the Ravens.

  • 49ers are a 3-point favorite over the Chiefs.

All the way back at the beginning of September, the Lions beat the Chiefs 21-20 on the road in the first NFL game of the season to kick off this historic season — though the Chiefs were without two studs in both Travis Kelce and Chris Jones. One of the bumps in the road along that journey was a 38-6 loss at the Ravens in Week 7, the Lions' biggest defeat this season by a 17-point margin.

Both of those games were played on the road, but a hypothetical Super Bowl between the Lions and either of those teams will be at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

It has been a long climb for the Lions' Super Bowl odds throughout their 14-5 season so far. The Lions were listed as the favorites to win the NFC North in the preseason, but had +2200 (22-to-1) odds to win it all for the first time, according to Pro Football Reference. Those odds are now down to 7-to-1 as the team sits two wins away from their ultimate goal.
