Cooperstown's Lambert scores 39 points to reach 1,000

Jan. 4—Charlie Lambert scored his 1,000th varsity point in Cooperstown's 72-53 home win over Morrisville-Eaton Thursday.

Lambert scored a game-high 39 points to finish the game with exactly 1,000 points. He also added five assists and four steals.

Elsewhere for the Hawkeyes, Cooper Coleman scored 13 points and Cooper Bradley had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Cooperstown (7-4 overall, 3-2 league) will be at Mount Markham next Monday.

Bainbridge-Guilford 54, Oxford 51

A fourth-quarter rally allowed the Bainbridge-Guilford boys to defeat Oxford 54-51 Thursday in Midstate Athletic Conference play.

James Hogroian scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Bobcats while Michael Lipani added 10 points in the win.

Donovan Rickard scored 19 points for Oxford while Caden Rifanburg finished with 14.

B-G will visit Unadilla Valley next Wednesday while Oxford hosts Sidney the same day.

Unadilla Valley 59, Harpursville 45

The Unadilla Valley boys defeated Harpursville 59-45 in Thursday's Midstate Athletic Conference game.

Tucker Cattanach led UV with 18 points in the win while Denzel Peter scored 11 and Zach Smith and Haywood Edwards had nine each.

Jayden DeLeon poured in a game-high 32 points for Harpursville.

UV will host Bainbridge-Guilford next Wednesday while Harpursville will be at Walton/Downsville the same day.

Charlotte Valley 66, Hunter-Tannersville 18

Charlotte Valley jumped out to a 25-0 lead en route to a 66-18 win over Hunter-Tannersville at home Thursday in Delaware League action.

Ezra Ontl and Luke Montgomery led the scoring for Charlotte Valley with 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Trevor Waid and John Gonsalves each scored nine in the win.

Grady Glennon was the top scorer for H-T with eight points.

Charlotte Valley is off until next Friday when it hosts Gilboa.

Middleburgh 64, Sharon Springs 39

Sharon Springs fell at home to Middleburgh 64-39 on Thursday.

Mike Cashman scored a team-high 18 points in the loss while Ethan Mickel added 10 and Brady Ostrander scored eight.

Guillermo Martinez led Middleburgh with 21 points.

Sharon Springs will visit Edmeston next Tuesday.

Five different Delhi players scored in double figures as the Bulldogs took down James I. O'Neill 82-45 in Wednesday's inter-section contest.

Chuck Haight led the way for Delhi with 22 points while Seamus deMauro scored 14, Ivan Richardson and Rocco Schnabel had 12 apiece and Angelo Krzyston scored 10.

Delhi (6-2) will be at Deposit-Hancock Friday.
