The 2023 Continental Tire Main Event is scheduled to feature the Xavier University Musketeers, San Diego State Aztecs and Washington Huskies in addition to the Saint Mary's College of California Gaels, Xavier confirmed Monday.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 17-19 at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena. The Muskies reportedly are scheduled to open the season against Robert Morris less than two weeks earlier.

In May, Jon Rothstein reported for collegehoopstoday.com that St. Mary's would join the other teams as headliners instead of playing in the 2023 Diamond Head Classic as previously scheduled.

"The Continental Tire Main Event in Las Vegas will be an incredible pre-season tournament for our basketball program to compete in and for our fans to enjoy watching," said head coach Sean Miller, per XU Communications. "T-Mobile Arena is a tremendous venue for college basketball. The field includes three successful programs in San Diego State, St. Mary's and Washington. We look forwarding to competing with these programs in Las Vegas."

The Gaels, a No. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament, finished last season 27-8 and lost to XU's Big East rival, UConn, in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

SDSU, also a fifth seed in the NCAA tournament, finished last season 32-7, falling to UConn in the championship game in Houston. Washington finished last season with a 16-16 record, 8-12 in the Pac-12.

Xavier played in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational in 2017, losing to Arizona State in the championship game.
