Complete schedule for Missouri softball vs Duke in NCAA Columbia Super Regional

The Tigers are two wins away from snapping a decade-long absence.

No. 7 national seed Missouri softball will face No. 10 Duke in the NCAA Columbia Super Regional beginning Friday at Mizzou Softball Stadium in Columbia, Missouri. The winner of the series will advance to the Women’s College World Series.

Mizzou hasn’t made it that far since it was a member of the Big 12.

The Tigers last traveled to the season-ending championship in Oklahoma City in 2011, which marked a third straight berth to the Women’s College World Series under former coach Ehren Earleywine.

Duke swept its home NCAA Durham Regional, knocking off Morgan State and then South Carolina in back-to-back games to book its trip to Columbia, Missouri. The Blue Devils (50-6) have the second-best win-loss percentage in the nation and won the Atlantic Coast Conference title this season.

Mizzou (47-16) made it to the SEC Tournament championship, where it fell against Florida after knocking off Ole Miss, Arkansas and LSU to reach the title game. The Tigers had to win four straight games to survive the regional round, eliminating Indiana, Washington and Omaha in succession to set up a home super regional.

Now, MU coach Larissa Anderson, in her sixth season with the Tigers, is looking to take her team to OKC for the first time. Missouri last made it to the super-regional round in 2021, when James Madison came to Columbia and won in three games behind two-way star Odicci Alexander.
