Commercial/apartment building and parking lot on North Main Avenue in West Scranton sold
Jul. 3—The new owner of the former VIP Optics building at 455 N. Main Ave. plans to keep the property as a commercial space fronting the road and an apartment in the rear.
Realtor Pat Rogan recently bought the building at its parking lot next door for $125,000.
The parking lot, situated at the corner of North Main Avenue and Swetland Street, has parking for nine vehicles. The parking lot was part of the appeal for Rogan to buy the property, he said.
The building abuts the parking lot of the Family Dollar store at 449 N. Main Ave. and is across from the Rite-Aid Pharmacy on North Main Avenue at West Linden Street.
