Columbus Fury top Orlando Valkyries 3-1, move close to playoff position

The Fury moved close to playoff position with a 3-1 victory over Orlando on Friday at Nationwide Arena.

Columbus (7-11) won 22-25, 26-24, 25-12, 25-15 to move into fifth place in the Pro Volleyball Federation, one spot behind San Diego (8-9). Orlando is 7-13.

Valeria Leon led the Fury with 17 digs and five assists. Kendall Kipp had 21 kills and 11 digs. The Fury had a 28% attacking percentage while limiting Orlando to 16%.

Columbus faces Grand Rapids at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nationwide Arena.
