The NFL placed Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree on the commissioner's exempt list after he was arrested Friday on charges of domestic violence.

From FOX59:

According to the Avon Police Department, Ogletree preliminarily faces two felony charges — one count of domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old and one count of domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury.

On Tuesday, APD officers were sent to a residence to deal with a domestic disturbance between two adults. ESPN obtained an affidavit that stated the first officer on the scene discovered the victim in an upstairs bedroom in pain. The victim, who was later taken to a local hospital, told the officer that Ogletree "body slammed" the victim to the ground during an argument.

According to court documents, Ogletree told police the victim attempted to hit him before he pushed the victim to the ground — something the victim confirmed to police.

Police say the dispute began after the victim broke Ogletree's phone.

This all occurred while Ogletree's son was at home. Ogletree turned himself in Friday, one day after an arrest warrant was issued.

Ogletree is currently being held without bond, according to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office.

The Colts released the following statement Friday night:

"We are aware of the disturbing allegations involving Drew Ogletree. The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time."

As long as Ogletree is on the commissioner's exempt list, he is unable to practice or attend games.

Ogletree, a sixth-round pick in 2022 by the Colts, has played in 12 games this season.
