Colts survive slop-fest in 30-18 win over 49ers

The Indianapolis Colts (3-4) survived the slop-fest at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday night to come away with a 30-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers (2-4) in prime-time.

With winds up to 40 miles per hour and heavy rain the entire evening, the game scripts called for both teams to feature their rushing attacks while leaning on the defenses to make plays. The Colts and 49ers both ran the ball well, but the Colts were the ones to make impactful turnover plays on defense.

Here’s the game recap from the Colts’ huge win in prime-time over the 49ers:

Final Score: Colts 30, 49ers 18

Surviving The Slop-Fest

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Despite playing in what was dubbed a “bomb cyclone” in Santa Clara, the Colts prevailed. Jonathan Taylor took over the run game with huge gains on several attempts while Carson Wentz made some big-time throws to Michael Pittman Jr. when the offense needed it most. It was an ugly, sloppy game. But the Colts were able to prevail despite the 40 mph winds and torrential downpour.
