Colts sign OL Slauson

Offensive lineman Matt Slauson signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday.

Slauson is likely to play guard with Ryan Kelly at center, but the versatile veteran has started at three positions on the offensive line. He started seven games at guard last season (16 at center in 2016) for the Chargers before a season-ending biceps injury.

Slauson rejoins offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni, who spent the last two seasons as the Chargers' wide receivers coach.

The Colts allowed an NFL-high 56 sacks last season and set the front five as a top priority this offseason.

Owner Jim Irsay announced the deal in a welcome via Twitter.
