Reinforcements from one of the premier FCS programs are coming in to bolster the Colorado State football roster.

Former North Dakota State defensive end Tony Pierce is the latest addition to the Rams, becoming the third player to join CSU from NDSU this offseason. He announced his commitment on Twitter on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-1, 242-pound Pierce brings a huge amount of experience to a position group that’s already one of the deepest and most talented on the roster.

Pierce played in 52 games over five seasons at North Dakota State, recording eight sacks, 14.5 tackles for loss and 99 total tackles. He has one season left to play due to the extra COVID year of eligibility granted by the NCAA.

He joins running back Kobe Johnson and safety Dom Jones as transfers in to CSU from North Dakota State. CSU defensive line coach Buddha Williams was in the same position at North Dakota State from 2017-21 and would have worked directly with Pierce.
