College report: Royse City-ex catches TD pass for Baylor; Hutka scores 21 points

Dec. 1—Former Royse City Bulldog Ketron Jackson Jr. caught a 38-yard touchdown pass in Baylor's 34-31 football loss to West Virginia.

Jackson caught three passes for a team-high 88 yards and also ran for a 3-yard gain.

The 6-3, 208-pound junior wide receiver finished the season with 28 receptions for 489 yards and one TD.

The Bears finished with a 3-9 season record and a 2-7 record in the Big 12. — Greenville-ex Tyrecus Davis rang up three tackles during Wyoming's 42-6 football victory over Nevada.

Davis, a 5-10, 183-pound junior defensive back, has recorded 26 tackles for the season with 23 solos. He's also intercepted a pass, broken up six passes, forced one fumble and recovered two fumbles.

The Cowboys finished the regular season with an 8-4 record and will now wait on a bowl bid. — Former Boles Lady Hornet Bailey Miller recorded her fourth double-double of the volleyball season with a team-high 17 kills and 10 digs during the Mountaineers' 22-25, 25-15, 25-19, 26-28, 15-9 loss to Oklahoma in the regular season finale.

Miller, a 6-3 sophomore, ranks second on the team in kills for the season with 339 to go with 13 service aces, 26 assists, 40 blocks and 209 digs.

West Virginia finished the regular season with a 9-22 overall record and a 2-16 record in the Big 12. — Royse City-ex Maggie Hutka scored a game-high 21 points to lead Colorado Christian to a 72-67 women's basketball victory over Eckerd.

Hutka, who is a 6-1 sophomore, also managed six rebounds, three assists and two steals. She shot 7-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line.

Hutka leads the Panthers for the season at 16.8 points per game. She's also averaging 6.3 rebounds and has nine assists, two steals and three blocked shots. She's shooting .643 from 3-point range and .839 from the free throw line.

The 4-2 Panthers were to play at New Mexico Highlands on Friday and at Colorado State University on Saturday. — Former Royse City Lady Bulldog Maci Bookout has appeared in four basketball games this season for Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She's pulled down seven rebounds for the 4-3 Savage Storm, who are to play next at 1 p.m. Saturday at Southwestern Oklahoma in Weatherford. — Royse City-ex Nevaeh Zavala produced four points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one blocked shot during High Point's 61-50 win over Johnson C. Smith at home on Thursday at High Point, North Carolina.

Zavala also scored eight points and pulled down five rebounds during the Panthers' 77-69 loss to Arizona State in the Paradise Jam at St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. She also appeared in North Point's losses at the Jam to No. 12 Texas (101-39) and South Florida (61-32).

The 4-4 Panthers are to play next at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
