Colin Cowherd suggests Warriors try to trade Jordan Poole for Jaylen Brown

The Warriors made a huge financial commitment to Jordan Poole in October, locking him into a long-term deal worth $123 million, but his inconsistent play throughout the season has led to a firestorm of criticism from commentators, analysts and fans.

Poole scored zero points in 10 minutes off the bench in Game 4, as the Warriors fell 104-101. Now facing elimination, Golden State will have to turn the tables on LeBron James and climb out of a 3-1 series deficit.

Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd’s proposal for the Warriors moving forward? Try to flip Poole for Celtics star Jaylen Brown.

“Win or lose, I think the Celtics have to make a move, and I’ll throw this out to you. Jalen Brown and Jayson Tatum doesn’t necessarily work because Brown’s got more alpha, but Tatum’s the better player. But if you brought Jordan Poole and [Andrew] Wiggins in from the Warriors, Tatum would be clearly the best player….

The Warriors get Jaylen Brown and Malcolm Brogdon off the bench, so you get great bench scoring potentially, and you get a much better defensive player next to Steph so you wouldn’t have to rely on Gary Payton as much. Because Steph… there are some limitations [to] what he can do defensively.

And also, Jaylen Brown – very smart. Played at Cal. He’s the kind of player the Warriors love.”
