Coldwater tennis takes 4th at I-8 tournament, Rucker wins No. 4 singles title

COLDWATER, MI. - The Coldwater Lady Cardinal tennis taem capped off their 2023 season with a trip to the Interstate 8 conference championship on Monday.

Coldwater finished in fourth place overall with 39 points. Parma Western brought home the tournament win, followed by Lumen Christi in second, Hastings in third and Coldwater in fourth.

Leading the way for the Cardinals was Janet Rucker who battled her way to an Interstate 8 conference championship at number four singles.

Josephine Neumann also had a solid tournament, taking runner-up honors at number three singles.

Earning All Conference honors for Coldwater was the duo of Emma Madden and Jillian Hawever who were voted to the Interstate 8 conference First Team.

Coldwater finishes out their season at 16-3-1 overall to go with a fourth place finish in the conference.
