Clutch TSSAA baseball performances, double hat tricks: Vote for Nashville area boys athlete of week

There were some huge TSSAA baseball and soccer performances from Nashville area athletes last week.

You can vote for the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries boys athlete of the week below. Nominees are from all classes in competition from May 6-11.

Voting will close Thursday at noon.

Jack Douglass, Beech: Douglass scored a run and hit a grand slam as Beech knocked off Green Hill, 11-0 in the District 12-4A tournament.

Collin Windham, Clarksville: Windham was 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and two RBIs in a 16-1 win over Dickson County.

Gunner Skelton, Columbia Academy: Skelton was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and pitched seven innings allowing eight hits and striking out 13 in an 8-4 win over Friendship Christian.

Davis Long, Franklin: Long had four goals as the Admirals defeated Brentwood, 5-1, in the District 10-AAA semifinals.

Elijah Stockton, Friendship Christian: Stockton’s walk-off sacrifice fly gave the Commanders a wild 7-6 win over FACS in 14 innings, pushing Friendship Christian into a DII-A state quarterfinal series against Boyd-Buchanan.

Rylan Moses, Goodpasture: Moses was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBIs in a 5-3 loss to Friendship Christian.

Dominic Waller, Green Hill: Waller went 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs in a 10-0 win over Hillsboro.

Truitt Webb, Henry County: Webb allowed four hits in six innings and struck out nine in a 5-3 win over Rossview in a region tournament semifinal. He also drove in two runs for the Patriots as they knocked Rossview out of the TSSAA baseball playoffs, 8-7, and advanced to a sectional series.

Jimmy Marzullo, Nolensville: Marzullo was 2-for-2 with a triple, a double and three RBIs in a 12-6 win over Summit.

Graham Duncan, Rossview: Duncan put up a double hat-trick with six goals in a 10-1 win over Springfield.

Drew Hostetler, Siegel: Hostetler’s grand slam gave the Stars their final lead in a 10-5 win over Riverdale in the Region 4-4A championship game.

Ryan Hendon, Station Camp: Hendon had four goals in a 9-0 win over Macon County.
