There were plenty of great performances on the diamond last week, and Rich Garven found some of the best for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Baseball Player of the Week.

Congratulations to Bay Path's Jake Delvalle for taking the top spot in last week's poll with 686 votes (28.8 percent) to edge Leicester's Caden Birtz (395 votes).

Player of the week nominations are selected by reporters based on coaches reporting game results into the Telegram & Gazette sports department and game coverage from the T&G sports department staff. Andrew Beauregard, Gardner

The sophomore collected eight strikeouts and surrendered three runs over 5⅔ innings as the visiting Wildcats defeated Shelburne Falls to break into the win column.

Sam Conrad, Doherty

The junior yielded three hits and recorded seven strikeouts over seven shutout innings as the Highlanders topped South at Polar Park.

Colby Coughlin, Shrewsbury

The senior delivered a run-scoring single with one out in the seventh to lift the Colonials to a 2-1, walk-off win over Mid-Wach A rival Wachusett.

Jimmer Donnelly, Millbury

The sophomore struck out six and closed his complete-game performance with four shutout innings while driving in a run as the Woolies edged Oxford, 5-4.

Josh Farrell, Douglas

The senior doubled in the winning run in the eighth with his second hit of the game as the visiting Tigers topped Quaboag in extra innings.

Brady Hubert, Northbridge

The senior racked up five hits in as many plate appearances and drove in four runs to lead the Rams to a wild win over Grafton.

Cody Jameson, Nipmuc

The senior drove in the winning run in the top of the 10th with his second double of the game to lift the Warriors to a 4-3 win over Northbridge.

Chris Kiesiner, Grafton

The junior went 3 for 5 while belting two home runs, driving in three runs and scoring twice in the Gators’ win over Nashoba.

Jake LeFrancois, St. Paul

The senior fanned nine and allowed five baserunners over six shutout innings versus Tantasqua and at the plate collected seven hits and three RBIs during the Knights’ 3-0 week.

Brayden Mercier, St. John’s

The junior plated what proved to be the winning runs with a two-run homer in the fifth against Westborough and was the winning pitcher while going 2 for 4 with two RBIs versus BC High.

Dale Nussey, Bay Path

The junior fanned 10 and allowed six baserunners in a complete-game victory over AMSA, part of a week in which he reached base eight times in as many plate appearances.

Dan Palmer, Sutton

The senior collected five hits, including three doubles, while driving in three runs and scoring three times as the Sammies defeated Burncoat and Blackstone-Millville.

Andrew Raymond, Groton-Dunstable

The sophomore allowed two hits and recorded six strikeouts over six innings as the Crusaders defeated Shepherd Hill, 1-0.

Denis Ryzi, Littleton

The senior went 3 for 4 with three runs batted in, highlighted by a two-run single in the seventh that lifted the Tigers to a walk-off win over North Middlesex.

Colin Taylor, North Middlesex

The freshman went 3 for 4 and drove in four runs, two coming on a homer, as the Patriots defeated Lunenburg to complete a 3-1 week.

Ryan Wall, Tyngsborough

The senior struck out 13 to earn his second win of the season in his third start as the Tigers were victorious against Quabbin.
