Clippers’ Kobe Brown registers first career triple-double in G League
Los Angeles Clippers rookie Kobe Brown registered his first triple-double on Sunday in the G League to lead the Ontario Clippers to a win over the Memphis Hustle.
Brown produced a career-high 19 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in the 126-119 victory on the road in the first of a two-game set against the Hustle. He went 7-of-20 from the field in 30 minutes of work as the Clippers improved to 3-4 in the regular season.
The 30th pick became the 14th player in the G League this season to record a triple-double. He hauled in eight rebounds and dished out four assists in the fourth quarter to reach the mark and help the Clippers hold off the Hustle down the stretch.

Brown has been in and out of the rotation with Los Angeles. He has only played in mop-up duty with L.A. after making four appearances since the start of the new year; he last logged four minutes on Friday in a win over the Grizzlies.
The 24-year-old is averaging 15.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and six assists on 39% shooting from the field in six games with Ontario. He has two double-doubles and has scored in double figures five times, including four 15-point efforts.
Brown has earned praise from the team for his upside and ability to space the floor and defend. He will likely continue to see some spot minutes in the G League until he can claim a full-time spot in the rotation.
