Craig Porter Jr. is arguably the most pleasant surprise on the Cavaliers roster this season, given he's an undrafted rookie point guard who has repeatedly performed well when summoned.

The Cavs are rewarding the 23-year-old Porter, agreeing to convert his two-way contract into a standard four-year deal, a league source confirmed Tuesday night for the Beacon Journal. The change in Porter's contractual status was first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

A Wichita State University product, Porter has started five of the 32 regular-season games in which he has appeared with the Cavs, averaging 6.5 points on 50.9% shooting from the field, 2.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 15 minutes.
