The Browns have played three games in what has already become a topsy-turvy NFL season. They could easily be 3-0. They could almost as easily be 0-3.

What they are is 2-1 and it's often been said, "you are what your record says you are."

With that said, things could be worse for the Browns. That statement perhaps never rang more true than it did on Monday when superstar defensive end Myles Garrett was involved in a serious automobile accident on his way home from the Browns' facilities in Berea.

Garrett walked away from a one-car crash that, upon looking at the condition of his car, could have been a heck of a lot worse.

The Browns are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North as they travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons on Sunday.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett, wide receiver Amari Cooper and tight end David Njoku had their best games of the season and the backfield combination of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt continued to produce at a high level in a Thursday night win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

'It just motivates us': Browns' grinding ground game inspires teammates, demoralizes defenses

A season-ending injury to Anthony Walker and a less serious injury to Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah leaves the Browns thin at linebacker.

Despite the loss of Walker and scare to Garrett, will the Browns be able to build on their win over the Steelers?

Our Browns coverage team is here to tell you what they think:

Banding together:Browns players' meeting turns into second-half defensive gem in shutting down Steelers

Chris Easterling (2-1)

Score: Browns 31, Falcons 24

Comment: It's been quite the week in Berea. A trip down south to face the Falcons may just be the salve they need to move forward. Plus, they kind of need this game with the schedule about to get real tough, real fast.

Steve Doerschuk (1-2)

Score: Browns 27, Falcons 24

Comment: Marcus Mariota's career record (30-34) nearly matches Baker Mayfield's (30-32). The Falcons won't "out-quarterback" you. But then, Jacoby Brissett is 16-24, and the Myles Garrett distraction counts for something. Nick Chubb tips the balance.

Marla Ridenour:'He's been unbelievable': Outsiders underestimated Cleveland Browns' Jacoby Brissett

Marla Ridenour (2-1)

Score: Browns 34, Falcons 30

Comment: The Browns' defensive line is decimated by injuries, which should help quarterback Marcus Mariota operate the Falcons' RPO offense effectively. The Falcons' run defense is tied for 15th in the league (109.3), so Nick Chubb (in his meaningful homecoming game) and Kareem Hunt should carry the Browns.

Nate Ulrich (1-2)

Score: Falcons 28, Browns 23

Comment: The Browns can win this game, but I'm stopping short of picking them because they're so banged up.

George Thomas (2-1)

Score: Browns 31, Falcons 17

Comment: If there is going to be a cakewalk on the early part of the schedule, this should be the one. Just remember, however, that everyone thought that about the Jets and the Browns. The Browns have a talent for making every game interesting.
