The Cleveland Browns announced on X, formerly Twitter, that radio voice of the team Jim Donovan will return to the booth Sunday.

Donovan, also anchor and sports director at WKYC (Channel 3), has been out since announcing a medical leave after the Browns season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

In his place, the team’s broadcast booth has teamed guest play-by-play announcers with color man Nathan Zegura. They included Cleveland native Chris Rose and Andrew Siciliano, both of the NFL Network, as well as Ohio State Buckeyes play-by-play voice Paul Keels and Tom McCarthy.

Donovan's return couldn't be more timely or welcomed by fans.

The Browns, tied for second in the AFC North and definitely in the playoff hunt, will play the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday with first place in the division potentially on the line depending on the outcome of the Cincinnati Bengals-Baltimore Ravens game Thursday night.

Donovan initially left the booth to focus on his battle against leukemia.
